KILIÇLAR group, which has been serving to the steel production sector of our country for approximately 45 years in the fields of metallic recycling and later on marketing of ribbed structural steel, continues its operations as Bilecik Demir Çelik Sanayii ve Tic. A.Ş. after having acquired the Bilecik Iron and Steel Factory, which was established in 2009, in the production of liquid steel, which is the other important link of the steel value production chain, as of March 2014.

The missing link of the vertical integration vision of the KILIÇLAR group has been completed with this significant step. Bilecik Demir Çelik is the steel production facility with the highest metallic efficiency in our country, with a methodology that complies with the Metallic Recycling vision of the KILIÇLAR group with its technological infrastructure and production process strategy. Bilecik Demir Çelik, with its annual production of 300,000 tons of ribbed structural steel, is a regional, scaled, highly productive, flexible and environmentally friendly new and different steel producer in the steel production sector, as the only steel production center in Bilecik and the surrounding provinces.

It was established to engage in the production and sale of steel billets and ribbed construction steel on the outdoor area of 192.856 m2 and indoor area including steel plant of 15,560 m2 and  rolling plant of 16,926 m2 which is registered in plot 2906B, block 108 and parcel number 7 of the land registry and located at Bilecik province, Bozüyük district, Bozüyük Organized Industrial Zone in a manner customer-oriented with ISO 9001 Quality Management System, environment friendly with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, valuing its employees with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System and contributing to the future with ISO 50001 Energy Management System.

While determining this scope, Bilecik Demir Çelik sanayii ve Tic. A.Ş. has established its organization life cycle on Sales, Purchasing, Finance, Planning, Scrap Preparation Process, Production (steel plant-rolling plant), Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety, Breakdown and Maintenance, Supply and Logistics, Human Resources and Administrative Affairs and Digital Transformation Management by considering the national and international compliance obligations, related party requirements, corporate standards and the parties related to our Integrated Management system, which affect the effective operation of integrated management systems, and needs and expectations of such parties.

It carries out its activities by establishing the Quality, Environment, OHS and Energy unit. 8.3 Design and Development clause has been excluded from the applicability limits since no new product design is being made. 1 set of 30 tons, 2 sets of 25 tons induction furnaces, 1 pcs crucible furnace and steel billets in sections of 130x130 mm by means of a 3-way continuous casting machine are produced in the steel plant. There is a 19 meters long and 12.80 meters wide reheating furnace in the rolling plant. The rolling process is carried out with the preparation group, middle group and finishing group benches.

While our company produces Ribbed Structural Steel, which is the most important input of the building sector, in accordance with national and international standards, it transforms metal wastes into value by protecting the environment, based on minimum waste and sustainable industrial production in all kinds of production. The biggest emission source in the enterprise is induction furnaces. Direct melting of ferrous materials and scrap usually takes place in electric induction furnaces, which require large amounts of electrical energy and produce solid waste/by-products, mostly dust and slag into the air. Moving hood systems and dust collection units have been built to collect the emissions originating from here, and it makes the sustainable environment understanding effective with new technological and environmentalist investments.


The iron and steel industry is one of the industries considered 'heavy'. The continuous transport of heavy and extremely large materials and machinery from one place to another, molten metals, toxic and corrosive substances, odors-fumes-substances and noise to which the respiratory system is exposed by air constitute the most important risks in terms of occupational health and safety. Bilecik Demir Çelik A.Ş. shows its sensitivity to people and related parties by using technological options to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases in the iron and steel industry by providing a reliable and healthy working environment with the use of local and general ventilation, the use of Personal Protective Equipment and periodic controls. Bilecik Demir Çelik, which was founded and worked on recycling, has obtained the zero waste certificate by providing full transformation within the enterprise. As the first Turkish iron and steel company to become a member of Responsible Steel, an international organization established for the correct use of resources and protection of nature, Bilecik Demir Çelik also keeps itself under control in corporate norms in this field. Chemical and mechanical tests are carried out with modern tools and methods at every stage of production in both our Steel Plant and Rolling Plant, thus ensuring that the products offered to the market comply with international standards such as TSE, DIN, ASTM, BS.
